Corbitt
Gegründet im Jahr 1913 von Richard Corbitt, entwickelte sich die Corbitt Company von ihren Ursprüngen in der Herstellung von Pferdekutschen und frühen Automobilen. Das Unternehmen erlangte Bekanntheit durch die Herstellung robuster Lastwagen, von denen ein erheblicher Teil beim US-Heer eingesetzt wurde. Um 1949 erweiterte Corbitt seine Produktion um eine Reihe von Landwirtschaftstraktoren, von denen viele für den Einsatz in südamerikanischen Märkten verschifft wurden. Leider geriet das Unternehmen kurz nach dem Ausscheiden von Herrn Corbitt aus dem Geschäft im Jahr 1952 in Schwierigkeiten.
