Centaur
L'histoire de l'entreprise a commencé en 1921 à Greenwich, Ohio, initialement créée sous le nom de Central Tractor Company. Sept ans plus tard, en 1928, elle a évolué vers Centaur Tractor Company, un nom inspiré de la désignation 'Centaur' déjà appliquée à son tracteur distinctif de type 6-10 sulky. En 1934, les innovateurs de Centaur ont déposé un brevet pour leur concept révolutionnaire "Klear View". Cette conception ingénieuse a considérablement minimisé les obstructions dans le champ de vision de l'opérateur, offrant une vue sans précédent du terrain directement sous le tracteur. Capitalisant sur cette innovation, Centaur a commencé la production de la série de tracteurs KV en 1935. Cependant, en 1940, l'entreprise a été confrontée à d'importantes difficultés financières, ce qui a finalement conduit à son acquisition par Le Roi, un fournisseur de longue date de moteurs alimentant les tracteurs Centaur.
