Denning
No alvorecer do século XX, a Denning construiu tratores no coração da cidade de Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Começando como a Estherville Fence Factory em 1893, estabelecida por J.M. Denning, a empresa mudou-se para Cedar Rapids em 1899. Em 1912, a empresa deixou de produzir cercas, alienando suas máquinas e patentes para se tornar a Denning Motor Implement Company. Finalmente, em 1918, a General Ordnance Company adquiriu a Denning, inaugurando uma nova era e a renomeação para National Tractor.
