Com raízes na engenharia ucraniana, a Fábrica de Tratores de Kharkov (XTZ) se destaca como uma importante fabricante de máquinas agrícolas robustas. Seu extenso catálogo abrange tanto tratores de quatro rodas motrizes potentes quanto veículos de esteira resilientes. Fundada em 1931, a fábrica iniciou suas operações fabricando um trator de 30 cavalos de potência destinado ao uso agrícola, seguido logo por um veículo de esteira mais potente de 52 cavalos de potência. Em 1973, a produção foi lançada na inovadora linha 150K de tratores de quatro rodas motrizes – uma série que rapidamente alcançou distribuição global e permanece em produção até hoje.
