Homelite lawn tractors
Homelite is a manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, notably chainsaws, based in the United States. Founded in 1921, Homelite began manufacturing chainsaws in 1949 and expanded to a full line out power equipment. Homelite began selling re-branded lawn mowers in 1964. Allis-Chalmers (later, Simplicity) supplied the majority of Homelite lawn tractors until Homelite was merged with Jacobsen in 1978. John Deere purchased Homelite-Jacobsen in 1994 which ended the Homelite brand on lawn tractors. Homelite was sold to Chinese conglomerate Techtronic in 2001.

Honda lawn tractors
Honda manufactured a line of tractors from the early 1980s until about 2000. Honda's tractor line ranged from riding lawn mowers to four-wheel drive utility tractors.

Huffy lawn tractors
Huffy began building lawn mowers in 1949 to diversify their product line. By the mid-1960s, Huffy was building a line of outdoor power equipment including lawn tractors. Huffy manufactured mowers for a variety of brands, including AMC and Turfmaster. Decreasing sales in the 1970s lead Huffy to sell its outdoor power equipment division in 1975.

Husqvarna lawn tractors
Husqvarna dates back to a Swedish weapons foundry built in 1689. Husqvarna entered the lawn equipment business in 1918 with the purchase of Norrahammars Bruk. Husqvarna went on to aquire Malmo and Poulan/Weed Eater to expand its lawn mower business. Owned by Electrolux since 1978, the outdoor products group of Husqvarna was spun off in 2006.

Ingersoll lawn tractors
Ingersoll was founded when Jack Ingersoll bought the Case Outdoor Power Equipment Division in 1983. The division traced its roots back to Colt garden tractors in the early 1960s. Ingersoll continued to produce garden tractors in Winneconne, Wisconsin using the hydraulic drive systems pioneered by Colt. Ingersoll entered bankruptcy in 2005 and assets were purchased by Eastman Industries in 2005. Eastman moved production to Portland, Maine. Ingersoll Outdoor closed in 2016.

Iseki lawn tractors
A Japanese farm machinery company that was founded in 1926, Iseki exports tractors worldwide. Many Iseki tractors were sold under the Bolens brand name in the United States. Iseki machinery is distributed by Ransomes Jacobsen in the UK.

J.I. Case lawn tractors
The J.I. Case company began building farm machinery in 1842. To enter the lawn and garden tractor market, the company purchased Colt Manufacturing in 1964. The tractors were manufactured in Winneconne, Wisconsin. Case manufactured their lawn equipment in Winneconne until 1983, when Case's Outdoor Power Equipment Division was told to Ingersoll Equipment.

Jacobsen lawn tractors
Jacobsen was founded in Racine, Wisconsin by Knud and Oscar Jacobsen. Jacobsen was acquired by Textron in 1978 and its residential lawn and garden product line was merged with Homelite. Deere purchased Homelite-Jacobsen in 1994 and operated it until 2001, when it was sold to TTI. Jacobsen's commercial golf and turf products continue to be part of Textron. The Racine operations were closed by Textron in 2001.

John Deere lawn tractors
John Deere manufactures a range of lawn, garden, and turf products. The John Deere model 110, introduced in 1963, was the company's first lawn tractor and was manufactured in Horicon, Wisconsin. Horicon remains the home of Deere's lawn and garden line, although the products are now built in a number of locations. Deere sells its premium range of lawn and garden tractors through the John Deere dealer network while an economy line is also sold at home-improvement stores.

Kubota lawn tractors
Established in 1890, the Kubota Corporation has a long history of manufacturing agricultural machinery in Japan. With an excellent line of compact tractors, necessary on smaller Japanese farms, Kubota entered the North American market in 1969.

Lawn Chief lawn tractors
Lawn Chief was the trade name used for lawn tractors and mowers sold by True Value hardware stores. Lawn Chief mowers were sold from the early 1970s until the early 2000s, when the brand was retired

Lawn Rovr lawn tractors
Lawn Rov'r tractors were manufactured by Heilman in the 1970s. Lawn Rov'r was founded by Glenn Heilman who had experience at Garden-All and then Wheel Horse, after Wheel Horse purchased Garden-All's factory. Lawn Rov'r entered bankruptcy in 1981.
