Lawn-Boy lawn tractors
Lawn-Boy was a brand of lawn mowers manufactured by OMC. Lawn-Boy acquired Gilson in 1988 and the Gilson tractors were rebranded as Lawn-Boy tractors. OMC sold Lawn-Boy to Toro in 1989 and the Lawn-Boy tractor line was dropped soon afterward.

Lennox lawn tractors
US furnace and air-conditioning manufacturer Lennox briefly entered the lawn mower market in the 1960s. Lennox's short-lived Kittytrack was a small crawler with a range of attachments for mowing, snow clearing, and gardening work.

Levitt lawn tractors
The Levitt Manufacturing Company (LMC) was a manufacturer of riding lawn tractors in the late 1960s. The LMC factory was located in Michigan City, Indiana. Levitt Manufacturing was sold to Poloron in 1967. After the sale of LMC, the Levitt's formed Dynamark as a lawn equipment sales corporation.

MTD lawn tractors
MTD, Modern Tool & Die, of Cleveland, Ohio, began producing lawn equipment in 1958. Over the years, MTD has expanded and purchased a number of other lawn equipment manufacturers. MTD owns and produces the Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard-Man, White, and Bolens brands of lawn and garden tractors. In 2021, MTD was purchased by Stanley Black & Decker.

Massey Ferguson lawn tractors
A full range of lawn and garden tractors were produced under the Massey Ferguson brand name. Dura, AMF, and Ingersoll all produced MF lawn tractors under license. With the AGCO purchase of Massey Ferguson in 1996, Simplicity became the supplier. Massey Ferguson lawn tractors were discontinued in 2017.

Mayrath lawn tractors
Mayrath Machinery of Dodge City, Kansas built a line of garden tractors from about 1949 until 1952. Founded by Martin Mayrath, the company was a pioneer in the development of portable grain augers. The Mayrath tractors were advertised as multi-purpose machines, boasting their 30 mile-per-hour speed and 60-mile range on a gallon of gasoline. Mayrath coniutes to manufacture grain-handling equipment today as a divsion of Global Industries.

Midland Company lawn tractors
The Midland Company of Wisconsin built two-wheel garden tractors and the Bull Pup tractor. The firm began in Racine as Schartow Manufacturing in 1911, manufacturing saddlery hardware. In 1928, the company took the Midland name and moved to South Milwaukee. In the 1950s, Midland began manufacturing the Dandy Boy two-wheel garden tractors, selling them through Montgomery Ward and under their own brand. In 1958, Midland was purchased by OMC and merged into their Lawn Boy division.

Minneapolis-Moline lawn tractors
Minneapolis-Moline entered the lawn and garden tractor business with their Town & Country lawn tractor series in 1962. These lawn tractors were built by Jacobsen. In 1963, Minneapolis-Moline was purchased by White. Minneapolis-Moline sold a full line of lawn tractors until 1970, when the lawn tractors were switched to the White brand name.

Montana lawn tractors
Montana Tractors was a distributor of compact and utility tractors in the United States from 2004 to 2011. During this time, Montana sold re-branded zero-turn mowers from Bad Boy Mowers. Montana stopped selling equipment in 2010.

Montgomery Ward lawn tractors
Montgomery Ward was a major US-based catalog and department store retailer in the twentieth century. Montgomery Ward sold a line of lawn and garden equipment under the Garden Mark, Powr Kraft, and Wards brands. The Montgomery Ward tractors were built by a number of companies, including Bolens, Gilson, MTD, and Simplicity. Montgomery Ward liquidated in bankruptcy in 2001.

Murray lawn tractors
Murray was a US manufacturer that built lawn equipment, bicycles, and other products in the Twentieth Century. Murray began building lawn mowers and tractors in the 1960s, many sold under other brands. Murray's Tennessee factory closed in 2004 and the brand was sold to Briggs & Stratton.

New Holland lawn tractors
Under Sperry, New Holland began manufacturing lawn and garden tractors in the 1970s, which later sold the product line to Ariens. When Ford sold a majority interest in its Ford-New Holland farm machinery line to FIAT the New Holland brand replaced Ford-branded Toros. Production continued until 2009, when New Holland dropped the lawn and garden tractor line (although continuing subcompact tractor and commercial front-mount mower lines).
