Le David Brown 880 a connu trois versions majeures pendant sa période de production de 10 ans. Les premiers tracteurs étaient les 880 Implematic, également appelés les 880C/D. En 1964, le moteur à 3 cylindres a remplacé le moteur à 4 cylindres. Ces tracteurs étaient les modèles 880E/F.
