John Deere has revitalized its 6R Tractor range, introducing the innovative 6R140 and 6R165 models. The 6R 140 broadens customer options within the 110-to 140-horsepower compact frame category, while the 6R 165 expands the mid-frame lineup of 145- to 165-horsepower tractors with a third powerful offering. Leveraging power bulge technology and Intelligent Power Management, the 6R 140 and 6R 165 Tractors are capable of delivering up to 166 and 212 horsepower respectively, even under demanding conditions like heavy hauling, PTO operation, or intensive hydraulic work.
Livestock producers seeking increased efficiency and enhanced machine performance should explore the optional new John Deere Loader Technology Package, ideally suited for feeding operations or utilizing pallet forks. This package features a reconfigurable loader control lever with an integrated reverser, allowing operators to customize their preferences and effortlessly control tractor direction with a simple touch. When paired with the optional high-capacity hydraulic pump, cycle times are noticeably improved over previous generations, boosting operator productivity and reducing overall task completion time.
The Loader Technology Package incorporates a Dynamic Weighing System (DWS), alongside Level to Horizon (LTH) and Return to Position (RTP) functionalities. DWS enables on-the-go load weighing, eliminating the need to halt the tractor or rely on a separate feeder wagon scale. Employing LTH, operators can swiftly level an attachment parallel to the ground, preventing spillage when traversing uneven terrain. RTP automatically returns the loader to a preset boom and bucket position, streamlining repetitive loading tasks such as filling a feed wagon or trailer bed.
Deere has also refined the styling, visibility, and operator experience within the 6R Series Tractors. "The 6R Tractor cab offers operators exceptional visibility and a remarkably quiet working environment," stated Dennis Ogle, marketing manager for John Deere. "These updated tractors continue to deliver the premium comfort, convenience, and technological advancements John Deere customers have come to expect."
Key machine information, previously located on the steering column, has been relocated to an easily readable digital display situated on the tractor's cornerpost. Combining these cab improvements with the innovative control handle results in heightened comfort and convenience, enabling operators to maintain peak efficiency and performance throughout their workday.
Regarding connectivity, the 6R Tractors come standard with a 4G JDLink connection (modem). Once activated within the John Deere Operations Center, the tractor will seamlessly stream machine and field data to the owner’s Operations Center account at no charge. Furthermore, owners can utilize the Work Planner tool in Operations Center to create field prescriptions and other field tasks from the comfort of their home or while on the move, and then transmit those instructions directly to the tractor’s in-cab display, saving the operator valuable time in the field by eliminating manual data entry.
