New Holland Elevates T9 Tractor Lineup for 2024
New Holland – August 28, 2023
The latest Model Year 2024 (MY2024) New Holland T9 tractors, integrated with PLM Intelligence (PLMi), are poised to deliver a suite of remarkable innovations. This comprehensive refresh introduces amplified power, refined efficiency, and a meticulously redesigned cab, prioritizing both advanced technology and exceptional operator comfort. These improvements collectively reinforce the T9’s standing as a benchmark for performance and safety within the industry.
Engineered to redefine industry standards, the 2024 T9 tractors with PLMi boast an extensive array of upgrades, solidifying their position as the premier high-horsepower choice for those demanding uncompromising performance, luxurious comfort, and state-of-the-art technology.
“These enhancements embody New Holland’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of tractor innovation,” states Ken Paul, product marketing manager at New Holland. “With increased horsepower and a host of sophisticated features, the updated T9 lineup delivers superior performance across all operations, from the operator station to the field, catering to the evolving needs of our customers.” He continues, “Recognizing the importance of operator well-being, we've meticulously modernized the cab’s comfort and design to minimize fatigue and empower operators to maintain focus throughout their workday.”
Unrivaled Power with Increased Horsepower Ratings
The Model Year 2024 updates herald the arrival of enhanced horsepower levels for the T9 series, carefully calibrated to address the ever-changing demands of the agricultural sector. Equipped with upgraded FPT 13L cursor engines, the T9 series delivers a surge in power alongside exceptional fuel economy. Previously measured in SAE engine horsepower, T9 models will now align with the rest of the New Holland high-horsepower lineup by adopting metric horsepower ratings.
Of the six models for 2024, the T9.470, T9.520 and T9.580 benefit from an electronic variable geometry turbocharger (eVGT) which boosts power output, improves fuel efficiency by 2%, and increases transient response by up to 35%. The remaining three wide-frame models – the T9.615, T9.655, and T9.700 – feature a two-stage turbocharging system – a fixed geometry first stage coupled with a wastegate second stage.
To accommodate a diverse spectrum of farming requirements, the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) has been increased across all six of the new T9 models. This enhancement amplifies the load-carrying capacity, empowering operators to confidently tackle a variety of tasks with ease.
Elevated Operator Comfort for Sustained Performance
New Holland's commitment to operator comfort shines brightly in the Model Year 2024 updates. The cab interior has been reimagined with premium comfort features, including a redesigned headliner, overhead console, and RAM mount rails, creating a sanctuary of ergonomic excellence. These improvements ensure operators can remain productive, even during extended work hours, thanks to the enhanced comfort they provide.
The updated cab top styling incorporates convenient overhead grab rails, seamlessly blending safety with sophisticated aesthetics. This thoughtful addition enhances operator stability and confidence during challenging tasks, such as cleaning exterior windows. Improved door handles are also included in the model upgrades for smoother, more effortless opening and closing.
Recognizing the extensive hours operators spend in the field, particularly at night, New Holland has integrated LED beacons and a comprehensive new work light package. This ensures operators have peace of mind and enhanced visibility, even in low-light conditions. The new LED lights deliver a 20% increase in visibility, representing New Holland’s most advanced lighting package to date.
Maintaining awareness of their surroundings is paramount for operators during any field task. However, limited forward visibility within the cab can be a source of stress. To further improve visibility, the Model Year 2024 T9 tractors will now feature a slimmer exhaust system and the removal of the J tube between the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and the Selective Catalyst Reduction system, increasing operator visibility by 10%. Moreover, eliminating the J tube and reducing exhaust size helps streamline emissions control by preventing urea deposits during low-load applications.
Advanced Farming Technology in the Updated Series
The T9 with PLM Intelligence series showcases New Holland's dedication to providing customers with cutting-edge technology. The availability of a dual Intelliview 12 monitor option provides operators with seamless access to vital data without the need to switch between tractor and precision outputs on a single screen. This allows for optimized in-field performance and more informed decision-making. One screen comes standard on all T9 tractors, with the option to add a second display at the time of purchase or at a later date.
A premium sound option is also available on all 2024 T9 models, creating a pleasant work environment with high-quality audio. The cab package features eight-channel amplifiers, two tweeters, a premium sound-specific cab post cover, and attachments for device mounting. Complementing AM and FM radio access, the stereo system caters to operators with diverse musical preferences.
The new T9 tractor models for 2024 represent a significant advancement in meeting and exceeding the expectations of high-horsepower operators, from the integrated technology and enhanced power to the elevated level of comfort essential for long days in the field.
