AGCO was born when the US management of the Deutz-Allis corporation bought out the North American side of the company and renamed it AGCO (Allis-Gleaner Company). Tractors are distributed under the AGCO Allis name. AGCO acquired White in 1991, Massey Ferguson in 1994, Fendt in 1997, Caterpillar's Challenger line in 2002, and Valtra (formerly Valmet) in 2002. In 2001, The AGCO White and AGCO Allis names were dropped in favor of the AGCO brand. In 2009, it was announced that the AGCO brand would be phased out leaving the Massey Ferguson and Challenger brands.

American Tractor Corporation (ATC) was started when the Rojtman family purchased a factory in Churubusco, Indiana, USA. After researching US and German army tanks and crawlers, ATC began producing crawler-tractors under the TerraTrac brand. In late 1956, Case merged with ATC. ATC formed the core of Case's crawler and industrial line. By the late 1960s, Case shifted all production to Burlington, Iowa, USA and sold the Churubusco factory.

Acremaster was a line of large articulated four-wheel drive tractors built in Australia during the 1970s and 1980s. Acremaster was founded by Laurie Phillips in Merredin, Western Australia. After an ownership change, Acremaster built tractors for IH Australia for two years just prior to International being purchased by Case. Horwood Bagshaw purchased Acremaster in 1985 and offered custom-order tractors until 1987.

Advance-Rumely logo

Rumely started in 1853 in La Porte, Indiana manufacturing threshers and later moved on to steam engines. The first internal combustion tractor at the company was the OilPull, launched in 1910, with an oil-cooled engine. A 1911 merger with the Advance Thresher Company changed the name to Advance-Rumely. In the late 1920s, Advance-Rumely attempted to enter the market for smaller tractors with the DoAll and the 6A, but had difficulty. Allis-Chalmers purchased Advance-Rumely in 1931 and stopped production of all models.

AgraCat was a US importer of Chinese tractors in the early 2000s. AgraCat was founded in 1999 in Farmington, Arkansas. Financial difficulties lead AgraCat to partner with AFS in 2002. AFS which began taking a substantial interest in business operations. In 2004, AgraCat declared bankruptcy and AFS created Montana Tractors using many AgraCat employees and dealers.

Agri-Power was a tractor brand used by Menards and Wholesale America, Inc., of Eau Claire, Wisconsin from approximately 1982 to 1985. The initial line of tractors were re-branded Fiat models acquired from Argentina. Later models were re-branded Zetor tractor imported directly, with final assembly occurring in Wisconsin. Wholesale America, Inc. was dissolved in 1995.
