Der Name Fordson wurde aus zwei Gründen verwendet. Der Name „Ford Tractor“ wurde bereits von einer Firma in Minneapolis verwendet. Darüber hinaus hatten die Aktionäre der Ford Motor Company kein Interesse an der Traktorproduktion, daher gründete Henry Ford eine unabhängige Firma für den Bau von Traktoren, die Henry Ford & Son genannt wurde. | |
