Volvo
En 1943, Volvo inició su incursión en el sector de maquinaria agrícola a través de una colaboración con Bolinder-Munktell, un destacado fabricante sueco de tractores. Los diseños que surgieron de ambas compañías exhibieron notables similitudes, lo que llevó a Volvo a adquirir completamente Bolinder-Munktell en 1950. Aunque se mantuvieron como entidades distintas durante un tiempo, ambas marcas se unificaron en 1957 bajo el nombre combinado de Bolinder-Munktell-Volvo. Reflejando la creciente fuerza del nombre Volvo, la marca cambió una vez más en 1973 a Volvo BM. Se forjó una nueva asociación con Valmet en 1978, culminando en la completa venta de las participaciones de Volvo en tractores a Valmet – actualmente conocida como Valtra – en 1985.
