Le nom Fordson a été utilisé pour deux raisons. Le nom "Ford Tractor" était déjà utilisé par une entreprise à Minneapolis. De plus, les actionnaires de Ford Motor Company n'étaient pas intéressés par la production de tracteurs, donc Henry Ford a fondé une entreprise indépendante pour la construction de tracteurs, nommée Henry Ford & Son. | |
