Wheel Horse lawn tractors

The Wheel Horse story began humbly in 1946, originating from the workshop of Elmer Pond. Initially, Mr. Pond ingeniously crafted two-wheeled garden tractors by repurposing readily available surplus components. Remarkably, within a decade, his fledgling endeavor blossomed into a thriving enterprise, expanding its production to encompass a complete array of lawn and garden tractors, alongside comfortable riding mowers. Throughout the years, Wheel Horse lawn tractors have earned a reputation for consistent design and engineering principles. In 1986, the Toro Company acquired Wheel Horse, and continued manufacturing lawn tractors under the established Wheel Horse brand until 2007.
